Indigo workshops

I have done several Indigo workshops in the past several months, including one at USC with the Roski School students. Below are some images from some of the workshops. Indigo is a wonderful process to do with a big group of people, the transformation both in color and in pattern is endlessly exciting.

Different bundles of folded fabric after a first dunking in the vat.

Arms in the vat.

Fabric hanging to dry in the sculpture yard.

We also built a geodesic dome from PVC in the gallery space (thinking about pattern as form and structure as well visual pattern). We used the fabric from the Indigo process to cover areas of the dome.
