Better living through geometry.
I have been working on some new pieces based off the elements of a vintage Tamgrams game, here is a necklace layered over one of the cards. I love playing with the shapes and colors.

I am going to be at LACMA this Sunday 10/14/12 for family day - we will be doing a project working with glass, looking at how glass can hold light and blend color through its qualities of transparency.
Hope you can join me.

I love this map, I wish it was something that I was more familiar with, something I had learned in school. My mothers family has been in the US since before the American Revolution, and there is a certain amount of native american on both sides of my family. When I make jewelry I look for a connection between ornamentation and nature - which often seems to end up having references to indigenous aesthetics.
So here is my tiny shout out to the first peoples of the continent.
